The vivo X80 Pro+ will be available in September
After the vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro were announced in January, we’re now anticipating an update to the X-series. One industry source has revealed that vivo will launch a new device in September. It will not be an iterative upgrade over the existing models, so we expect it to be named vivo X80 Pro+.
According to Counterpoint Research’s latest report, vivo ranked second among premium smartphone vendors in China for Q2 2022. The company aims to build upon the good reception of its X80 and X80 Pro with the upcoming X80 Pro+ phone, which is expected to debut with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset alongside an upgraded camera setup. Rumors suggest the X80 Pro+ may include the 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (1/2.76 inch size, 0.64 μm pixel size) and 50MP ISOCELL JN2 (1/1.12 inch size, 1.4um pixel size) alongside the existing 50MP main and 48MP ultrawide sensors from the X80 Pro.
