The Snapdragon 480+-equipped Jio Phone 5G has made an appearance on Geekbench
There have been rumors for months that Reliance Jio will release a smartphone compatible with its upcoming 5G network, which it will bring to India.
A device with the model number LS1654QB5 has just been certified by Geekbench, and it is widely speculated that this is the first Jio Phone 5G. This device utilizes the Snapdragon 480+ chipset, an 8 nm platform that debuted in October of 2021.
In this case, the Snapdragon 480 chipset makes it the second time we’ve heard of such a phone. According to Geekbench, Jio is taking this device even further by bringing Android 12. Earlier rumors had suggested 4 GB RAM and Android 11.
Pragati OS, a modified version of Android developed by Jio and Google, may or may not be used in the upcoming JioPhone Next. The previous rumor suggested a 5,000 mAh battery, a USB-C port for fast charging at 18W, and a 6.5″ LCD with HD+ resolution.
