The Oppo A98 5G has received certification from NBTC
In November of last year, China’s TENAA certified an Oppo smartphone with model code PHQ110, which is speculated to be the Oppo A98 5G. Recently, a new version of the A98, identified as model CPH2529, has received certification from Thailand’s NBTC, indicating that it is one step closer to being released outside of China. Although the Thai certifying body only confirmed 5G connectivity for the CPH2529, we have information on the Chinese version’s specifications, thanks to TENAA.
A distinctive feature of the Chinese Oppo A98 is its 2.2GHz octa-core processor and 6.7″ FullHD+ curved AMOLED display, which comes equipped with a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric authentication.
An exceptional attribute of this smartphone is its ability to accommodate up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, along with a battery boasting a rated capacity of 4,690 mAh. The device also features a triple camera setup, including a 108MP primary camera, a 2MP depth/macro camera, and a 16MP selfie camera.
