RZ600 Series Wi-Fi 6E Chips from MediaTek and AMD Have Been Unveiled
MediaTek and AMD unveiled a pair of Wi-Fi 6E chips for laptops and PCs dubbed AMD RZ600 series alongside the new Dimensity 9000 smartphone chipset. 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5GHz), Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz band up to 7.125GHz), and 160MHz channel bandwidth on the AMD RZ616 are all supported by the MediaTek Filogic 330P chipset in this pair.
The AMD RZ608 can transmit at up to 1.2Gbps and 80MHz channel bandwidth. As a result of this technology, both new Wi-Fi chips also include a low noise amplifier (LNA) and a power amplifier (PA).
There will be new Wi-Fi 6E chips in AMD RZ600 series PCs and laptops in 2022.
