The Apple Watch Ultra, an upgraded version of the original Apple Watch, was released by the company in September 2022. The Apple Watch Ultra was created to take on more expensive fitness-focused smart watches from brands like Garmin, and it is targeted for sports fans and athletes who require longer battery life and enhanced performance for their respective sports.

Apple Watch Ultra is the largest Apple Watch to date at 49mm, 5mm larger than the 45mm Apple Watch Series 8 that it is being marketed alongside. It was designed for endurance, exploration, and adventure.

The Apple Watch Ultra is the first major overhaul in years, including a flat sapphire crystal face, a larger diameter and deeper grooved Digital Crown, a housing for the side button, and an additional physical button on the left side called the Action button.

The Apple Watch Ultra is the brightest Apple Watch to date, with a maximum brightness of up to 2000 nits, making it legible even in direct sunlight. The Action button may be used to trigger Workouts, mark segments, establish Compass Waypoints, and more, and it is designed in international orange so that it can be seen in the dark and underwater.

With its three internal microphones and advanced beamforming technology, the device can record clear audio even in noisy environments. In case assistance is required, an 86-decibel siren with two SOS patterns is at your disposal.

The Apple Watch Ultra is available for preorder as of the 7th of September, with a release date of the 23rd. Apple’s high-end watch, the Ultra, costs $799 in the USA, €999 in the UK.
