Pricing for the Apple Watch Pro, a more durable version of the original Watch, will begin at $900
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg thinks the rugged Apple Watch they’ve been hearing stories about for over a year will be dubbed Apple Watch Pro. The new Pro model watch will have a larger screen than the present 1.9-inch panel on the 45mm Series 7 watch, as well as a more robust titanium case.
The Apple Watch Pro is rumored to feature a more shatterproof display, enhanced sports tracking for activities like swimming and trekking, a longer battery life, and new health sensors. Apple’s new Pro Watch will be marketed toward athletes who are into extreme sports and would normally purchase a Garmin smartwatch. According to Gurman, the new Apple Watch Pro will cost between $900 and $999 at launch. He also notes that Apple is likely to discontinue the premium Watch Edition.
