Oppo replies to news of the Nokia lawsuit in Australia
A report from earlier this week said that Nokia is suing Oppo in Australia for using Nokia’s 4G and 5G technologies without permission. A spokesperson for Oppo told us the following about the alleged lawsuit:
So far, we have not been notified of any legal actions against OPPO in Australia. We continue operating normally in all markets except for Germany, where the sales and marketing of products affected by this legal case are temporarily on hold.
We have been proactively negotiating with Nokia and will continue working diligently to resolve this matter fairly.
Despite the continuing legal proceedings, Oppo has temporarily halted sales in Germany. This means that the outcome is not set in stone and could change.
