Motorola unveils Moto G62 5G and G42
Both the Moto G62, which is capable of 5G, and the Moto G42, which is LTE-capable, were unannounced by Motorola. Soon, both phones will be available in Brazil, and they’ll also be available to a limited number of customers in other regions of the world.
Moto G62 5G
The Moto G62 5G has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate powered by the Snapdragon 480+. Punch-hole cutouts conceal a 16MP selfie camera, while the back of the phone houses a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide module, and a 2MP macro lens. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card.
The Moto G62 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery and can be charged at 20W. Android 12 is the operating system, with MyUX UI on top. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a fingerprint reader on the side that also serves as a power button round out the features. Color options include Graphite and Green. Moto G42
The 6.4-inch OLED screen on the Moto G42 features FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. 16MP front-facing camera; 50MP main; 8MP ultrawide; and 2mp macro back-facing camera. In addition to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 powers the device.
A 5,000 mAh battery and a 20W charger round out the G42’s features, which also include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. MyUX runs on top of Android 12 when the phone starts up. The Moto G42 is available in Blue and Rose. Details on pricing and availability are still being worked out.
