Insufficient Supply of Apple iPhone 13 is Expected to Last Until February

The global chip shortages have taken a toll on , but not as much as many of its competitors, and even its lineup has been affected.

It has been reported by Digitimes that the new iPhone 13 lineup will not have enough supply to meet demand until at least February, according to the publication’s supply chain sources.

Some of the chip shortages were alleviated by Apple’s large cash reserves. Although TSMC has reserved many production lines for Apple’s chips, there are still a number of legacy chips in short supply, which prevents the phones from being manufactured.

According to Tim Cook, the supply issues cost the company $6 billion in the last quarter, and we can only expect that number to grow in the final three months of the year.
