Google’s Pixel 6a is Expected to Have a Tensor Processor, but the Camera System will be the Same as Before
According to unconfirmed CAD renders, the Google Pixel 6a will be a lower-cost alternative to the two previous Google Pixel flagships that were released just a month ago. New 9to5Google rumor suggests that the upcoming mid-range Pixel phone will have the same main camera as the Google Pixel 5.
Pixel 6a, internally known as “Bluejay,” is hinted at in Google’s camera app, according to the APK Insight team. Sony IMX363’s 12.2MP main camera will be used, just like the main camera on the Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4 models. There is also mention of a 12MP Sony IMX355 sensor, which is likely to be paired with an extremely wide lens. Last but not least is an 8MP Sony IMX355 front camera that has been used in prior Pixels and in the Pixel 6. (non-Pro).
As an addition to the cameras already in place, 9to5 The Google Pixel 6a is expected to have the same Google Tensor processor as the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Tensor-enabled features such improved Voice Typing, HDRnet video, and LIve Translate for chats are expected to be available in the Pixel 6a, however it was subsequently discovered that Google would bring this last function to previous Pixels.
Given that the Google Pixel 5a launched just a few weeks before the Pixel 6, it’s reasonable to assume that the Pixel 6a will be unveiled by Google in August 2022. For the time being, Google hasn’t officially acknowledged the Pixel 6a’s existence, so there’s no certainty. Google may use the Pixel 6a to gently expand into new markets before releasing the Pixel 6’s successors.
In unauthorized renders, Google’s Pixel 6a is depicted as having a size of 152.2×71.8×8.7mm, with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage available. A headphone jack is absent from the Pixel 6a, but a fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen.
