Details on the Snapdragon 898 and Dimensity 2000 Have Been Made Public
The upcoming Qualcomm and MediaTek flagship SoCs have been partially revealed thanks to a reliable Weibo and Twitter tipster. Some of the details have already been revealed, but the addition of this data helps to round out the picture.
The Snapdragon 898 will be built at Samsung using the company’s 4nm manufacturing process and feature an octa-core CPU with a 3.0 GHz Cortex-X2-based main core and three 2.5 GHz Cortex-A710-based performance cores. While the low-power Cortex-A510 cores are clocked at 1.79GHz, the graphics-intensive workloads will be handled by the Adreno 730 GPU.
The Dimensity 2000 is expected to have the same configuration as the Snapdragon 898, but its three performance cores will run at a higher clock speed. Mali-G710 MC10 is thought to be the GPU. TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process will be used for MediaTek’s flagship silicon, which is notable.
