ARM’s Next-generation GPU Will Outperform the Mali-G710 by 30%
ARM’s senior technical director for machine learning spoke about the company’s 2022 flagship GPU at a developer summit. The GPU’s name hasn’t been revealed, but we’ve been promised a 30% improvement over the Mali-G710.
Additionally, the GPU is said to be more efficient for machine learning tasks, with FP32 being 4.7 times greater than the Mali-G76, thanks to the 30 percent increase in raw computing power. Notably, the current Mali-G710 GPU offers a 35% increase in computing power over the previous model.
To meet the growing demand for mobile ray-tracing capabilities, ARM collaborated with MediaTek and Tencent Games to develop an advanced graphics processing unit (GPU).
