Apple Watch Series 7 Features a Larger Display And a More Robust Casing Than Previous Models
Apple’s new smartwatch has arrived, and it is not as flat as rumored. In fact, Apple boasts that the new model has softer, curved edges and a glass cover, making it more rounded.
The bigger, larger display in the same overall body is the most significant upgrade. By lowering the bezels to 1.7mm, Apple was able to extend the screen to the edges of the shell, making it 40% thinner than the Series 6. According to the firm, this enabled the display to expand by 20%.
The glass cover of Apple’s Watch Series 7 is considerably more fracture resistant, and the watch also has an IP6X dust-protection certification in addition to the WR50 water resistance.

With new redesigned UI elements, such as larger buttons, WatchOS will take advantage of the larger display. Notifications will now display more text, and the Apple Watch will now have a full QWERTY keyboard for texting. You’ll be able to tap or slide, and Apple QuickPath will predict what you’re trying to type using machine learning.
Apple claims that the battery life will remain the same at 18 hours, but that charging would be 33 percent quicker due to the new USB-C fast charger. The Apple Watch Series 7 will charge from 0 to 80 percent in 45 minutes.
Apple’s new Apple Watch Series 7 comes in five new colors and is constructed entirely of recyclable aluminum. Three stainless steel versions and a titanium model will also be available.
The Apple Watch Series 7 will be released in the fall, but that’s all the information Apple has thus far. The price starts at $399. The Apple Watch Series 3 will continue to be available for $199, with the Watch SE beginning at $279. The Series 6 is, on the other hand, no longer available.
